Welcome to Lancaster, South Carolina

Forty miles south of Charlotte, North Carolina is the intimate and historic community of Lancaster. Called the “RedRoseCity,” this beautiful area is in the heart of the Olde English District, a tourism region that encompasses seven counties at the north end of South Carolina. The city of Lancaster and the surrounding region has a long and storied history dating back to the English settlement in the 1770’s. Much of the local area's visual appeal is in its attractive downtown district. Landmarks include two buildings designed by Robert Mills, the creative mind behind the WashingtonMonument. The city is also considered a shopping and dining destination, offering a mix of independently owned and national restaurants as well as shops. Those aged 55 and older, the Sun CityCarolinaLakes community is also located in LancasterCounty. Sun City features many resort-style amenities and a variety of single-family homes and villas available for purchase.
